. WEEK END SPORTS is one of many sports programmes on RSTV. It is a studio based programme meaning it is a live programme where all forms of sports are featured on the programme. The most current issues in the world of sports are highlighted with a view to analyzing future prospects. The programme is designed to entertain sports lovers while keeping them abreast of happenings in the sporting world. There is the Newspaper segment where papers are reviewed by top sports journalists while occasionally there is a phone in segment .

Weekend sports is a one hour programme and is broadcast every Saturday at 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm

Topic: Special Report on Enyimba's Chances in the African Champions League

Enyimba football club is the only Nigerian football club to have won the African Champions league, and the first African team to win the CAF champions league trophy back to back (2003 and 2004) since its new format in 2001.

This week, they stand a chance to qualify for the finals of the Africa's premiere football club championship, but face a tricky second leg match with Wydad FC of Morocco in Aba, The 'People's club or Aba Elephants" as there are popularly called by their fans will seek to overturn a one zero deficit loss they suffered in far away Morocco.

Our football expert Sopirinye Jaja travels to Aba, commercial capital of Abia State to get a first hand account of the football match and special reports on Eynimba's chances in the African Champions league.
