The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited three more
suspects in the alleged sixty-one point six-three billion nara fraud
rocking the Ondo State Oil Producing area Development Commission
(OSOPAPDEC).

The commission said it has moved all the fifteen exotic vehicles retrieved
from OSOPADEC’S chairman Mr. Debo Ajimuda to the state police headquarters
in Akure, the state capital.

Ajimuda who has been in detention in the last one week, was granted bail
yesterday by the anti-graft agency while three key officials in the

Power

Minister of power professor Bart Nnaji has directed the managing director
of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and chief executive of the
eighteen firms created out of the company utility to pay the fifty per
cent salary increase to its workers this week.

Prof. Nnaji in a letter to PHCN executives said the funds for the three
months have been made available.

Reports say the federal government accepted to pay for the first three
months to enable the successor companies adjust to new salary structure.

However, there are indications that the government and the union of junior
workers may clash over the implementation of the new salary.
