THE office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ugbah, headquarters of Logo Local Council in Benue State, has been gutted by an inferno.
Eyewitnesses told The Guardian that the fire started from the back of the office and spread rapidly to the front before members of the community rallied round to put it out after half of the building was gone.
It was unclear what might have caused the fire but sources revealed that it might not be unconnected with the on-going indiscriminate bush burning.
